- The number of new HIV diagnoses among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples fluctuated over the last five years.
- Among gay and bisexual men, HIV diagnoses have declined by over 44 per cent in the past five years.
- The numbers of new HIV diagnoses among heterosexuals and people born overseas remained steady between 2016 and 2019 but declined between 2019 and 2020.
