Bio:

Anurag completed his bachelors in Biotechnology from Purbanchal University, Nepal in 2014. After his degree, he was working in different labs inside infection and epidemiology with a special focus on viral infections. In 2017, he co-founded a non-profit research institute which works in Infection and Immunology (http://kribs.org.np) and was working in HIV, HCV, Scrub Typhus, HPV, and Mycobacteria before joining VISP in 2018.

His research interest revolves around the question of how antibodies protect from infection. He is currently studying the Fc mediated effector function of the antibodies generated during HCV infection. His primary interest is antibody-dependent cellular phagocytosis (ADCP) and antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC). He has also a special interest in B cell ontogeny and Immunoglobulin production during infection.
