Dr. Lok completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2010 and Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Microbiology & Infectious Diseases in 2015. After completing MD, he worked as an Assistant Professor at B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, Nepal. He was primarily involved in teaching microbiology to medical and dental students, supervising diagnostic microbiology laboratory, and research activities. Initially, his research was focused on bacterial infections and antimicrobial resistance. He has worked as a microbiologist in an expert team during Dengue outbreak in 2019 and COVID-19 surveillance in 2020. His research interests are antimicrobial resistance, virology, and immunology. His current research focuses on broadly neutralizing antibodies against the emerging variants of SARS-COV-2 and autoantibodies in patients with COVID-19.
