Kabir completed his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh, in 2015. During his studies, he worked in the field of protein technology and anticancer drug discovery. After completing his Master's level research, he did another Master's of Engineering in Advance Life Sciences at the Graduate School of Life Sciences at Ritusmeikan University, Japan, in 2019. His research theme was the folding properties analysis of proteins based on their amino acid sequences. In 2021, Kabir joined the Viral Immunology Systems Program as a Postgraduate student under the supervision of Associate Professor Rowena Bull, Dr Chaturaka Rodrigo and Professor Andrew Lloyd. He is developing metagenomics-based diagnostic techniques for infectious diseases that remain undiagnosed during conventional laboratory diagnosis.
