Paul is a public health researcher whose interests include Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD), Economic Evaluation, and Management. He has more than five years of research experience in public health, mostly on NTDs in the Philippines. He obtained a Master of Public Health in Economic Evaluation and a Master of Health Management, with excellence, from UNSW Sydney through an Australia Awards Scholarship and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health, cum laude, at the University of the Philippines (UP) Manila. He worked at the UP Manila NTD Study Group as a Project Leader and Research Associate, at the Physicians for Peace Philippines and Alliance for Improving Health Outcomes as a Consultant for Costing and Epidemiology, and at ACCESS Health International as a Co-Investigator. He received research grants from the Joint TDR/ World Health Organization (WHO) Western Pacific Region Small Grants Scheme in 2016 and from the WHO Philippines in 2018. He has presented his researches in local and international conferences and has received International Publication Awards. He is pursuing his PhD at the UNSW Kirby Institute through a UNSW Scientia PhD Scholarship.
