I am a medically trained public health scientist interested in the epidemiology of vaccine-preventable diseases. My PhD research examined the immunogenicity, reactogenicity, and IgE-mediated immune responses of a mixed whole-cell and acellular pertussis vaccine schedule in Australian infants. Based in Perth, I contributed to studies on maternal RSV and pertussis vaccines, the off-target effects of BCG, and causal models for long COVID and catheter-associated bloodstream infections. I currently conduct large-scale epidemiological studies using linked data to explore missed opportunities for HPV vaccination and to assess inequities in HIV treatment access, alongside community-based organisations including the National Association of People with HIV Australia (NAPWHA). Previously, I held an academic position in Medical Parasitology in Venezuela, where I conducted research that informed WHO guidelines on the public health control of strongyloidiasis. I am committed to advancing methodologies in epidemiological analysis to optimise vaccination strategies and disease prevention. I work in R daily, continuously expanding my skills; my favourite libraries belong to the core tidyverse.
