Ellen completed her Bachelor of Science (Hons I) at the University of Sydney in 2016. She is currently completing a PhD, with a research focus on utilising gene therapy for the treatment of viral infections. Through characterising novel RNA therapeutics – specifically siRNAs – and optimising their delivery on lipid nanoparticles, her research aims to contribute to developing i) a robust, broad-spectrum SARS(-CoV-1, 2 & beyond) antiviral and ii) an accessible, effective functional HIV cure.
