Brandon joined the Kirby Institute in 2020. He has a multidisciplinary background with previous research experience in experimental psychology and clinical psychiatry where he was involved in research that investigated novel brain stimulation treatment techniques for refractory depression. Brandon is passionate about making large scale health improvements in developing countries via evidenced-based public health interventions so he is now completing his PhD with the Public Health Interventions Research Group within the Kirby Institute. His PhD research aims to investigate and improve the population-level control of soil-transmitted helminth infections in low and middle income countries.
