Principal Director, The George Institute for Global Health

Robyn Norton is co-founder and Principal Director of The George Institute for Global Health, Professor of Public Health at UNSW Sydney, and Professor of Global Health at the University of Oxford.  She leads the institute’s research, implementation and advocacy efforts, aimed at improving the health of women and girls worldwide.

Abstract

For too long, women’s health has not received the attention it deserves. Health conditions that affect only women are under-studied and under-resourced; women are treated for diseases that affect both men and women as if they were men, resulting in inappropriate and inadequate treatment. We can and must do better.
