Mr Curtis Cai
PhD Student, Immunovirology and Pathogenesis Program, Kirby Institute

Curtis Cai is a PhD student in the Immunovirology and Pathogenesis Program at the Kirby Institute, UNSW Sydney. For this thesis work, he has investigated the longitudinal evolution of antigen-specific CD8 T cells from patients with hepatitis C (HCV) infection. His research interests include single-cell technologies and immunology.

Abstract

Single-cell technologies can reveal the diversity within rare immunological cell populations and facilitate multi-parameter profiling of cells of interest. Curtis will present findings of the phenotype and clonotype diversity of HCV-specific CD8 T cell responses sampled from patients during the rarely-studied phase of acute infection.
