"Improving outcomes of adults hospitalised with malaria in the resource-limited setting"

Bio:
After completing his general medicine and infectious diseases training in Australia, Josh performed clinical malaria research in Mozambique, Bangladesh, India and Thailand. This culminated in a PhD which he completed at the Menzies School of Health Research in 2012.
He is interested in the clinical management of infectious diseases. His research focuses particularly on the delivery of simple, effective care in the resource limited setting. Since 2013 he has been collaborating with local clinicians in Myanmar to develop strategies for the optimal care of hospital patients with malaria and other tropical diseases in the nation's struggling public health system.
