Associate Professor Mark Boyd -Senior Research Fellow (NHMRC)- Sexual Health Program-The Kirby Institute

"Global HIV drug resistance and a regional action plan to address viral hepatitis."

Abstract:
The presentation will provide feedback from 2 recent meetings- one hosted by WHO SEARO  on developing a regional action plan for viral hepatitis in the SEA region and the other a consultation on global trends in antiretroviral drug resistance hosted by the US NIAD.

Bio:
Mark Boyd is Associate Professor of Medicine and a Senior Australian NHMRC Fellow at The Kirby Institute, UNSW Australia. He is the current President of the Australasian Society for HIV, Viral Hepatitis and Sexual Health Medicine and co-Editor-in-Chief of the open access journal AIDS Research and Therapy. In 2014 Boyd was awarded the Frank Fenner Prize for Advanced Research in Infectious Diseases by the Australasian Society for Infectious Diseases.
