Launched in 2016 by Prevention Access Campaign, the ‘Undetectable = Untransmittable’ (U=U) campaign empowers people living with HIV to live full social, sexual and reproductive lives, dismantle stigma, promote increased treatment access, and advocate for updated HIV guidelines. This presentation reports on findings and recommendations from a global, multi-stakeholder workshop held as part of the International AIDS Society Conference in Brisbane 2023.

Nathanael Wells is a medical anthropologist and social scientist at the Kirby Institute, UNSW. His current work explores the experiences of people recently diagnosed with HIV, HIV peer support services, and the sexual health of migrant gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men.

Jane Costello

CEO, Positive Life NSW
 

Jane Costello is the CEO of Positive Life NSW and previously the Research and Program Manager at the Kirby Institute UNSW Sydney working across sexual health, surveillance, evaluation, and research. Her research intersects human rights, social justice and policy.

Bo Justin Xiao

Bo Justin Xiao
Coordinator, Sexualised Drug Use & PLHIV Leadership Programs
 

Bo Justin Xiao has five years of experience in community health and is pursuing a postgraduate degree in social work at the University of Sydney. At ACON, he leads peer support and health promotion programmes for gay and bisexual men living with HIV.
