Abstract
Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is effective in reducing HIV infection. China has a large population at risk for HIV infection. Albeit PrEP has been in use for over 10 years in the developed world, PrEP is still at its infant stage in China. Understanding challenges and opportunities facing PrEP is essential to HIV prevention in China.
