Dr Chaturaka Rodrigo
Senior Lecturer in Pathology, School of Medical Sciences, UNSW

Chaturaka Rodrigo is a NHMRC investigator (EL1) affiliated to Viral Immunology Systems Program, Kirby Institute and Senior Lecturer in Pathology at School of Medical Sciences, UNSW. His research focus is on infectious diseases (hepatitis C, malaria, dengue and leptospirosis) and evolutionary biology of RNA viruses. 

 

Abstract

Dengue infection is a global health problem with an annual incidence of 390 million cases, 3.9 billion people at risk of infection and disease transmission happening in 129 countries. Chaturaka will share clinical issues in treating dengue, and interim findings from an ongoing prospective cohort study in Sri Lanka.
