Abstract

Treatment-as-prevention incorporates treatment as a tool for limiting spread of an infection in epidemics in a particular setting. The Surveillance and Treatment of Prisoners with hepatitis C (SToP-C) study is the first study globally, providing empirical data of hepatitis C treatment-as-prevention in the prison setting.
