Research Coordinator, Centre for Urban Health Solutions, St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto, Canada Anna Yeung completed a PhD at the University of Melbourne on the acceptability and feasibility of a chlamydia testing intervention in Australian general practice, as part of the Australian Chlamydia Control Effectiveness Pilot (ACCEPt). After, she came to the University of New South Wales as a postdoctoral researcher to examine sexual behaviour on the Australian Study of Health and Relationships (ASHR). Currently, she is a research coordinator at the Centre for Urban Health Solutions, St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, managing multiple studies in bacterial STIs and HPV for the ESTIMATE team, led by Dr Ann Burchell. |

Ms Jennifer Gillis PhD Candidate, Centre for Urban Health Solutions, St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto, Canada Jennifer Gillis is a PhD candidate in Epidemiology at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto in Ontario, supervised by Dr. Ann Burchell of ESTIMATE. She has an MSc in Biostatistics and has worked as a biostatistician with two large, multisite cohorts of people living with HIV. Currently, Jennifer’s work focuses on prevention of HPV- associated cancers, particularly among people living with and at risk for HIV. Her thesis work aims to evaluate the most appropriate and acceptable manner in which to screen HIV-positive gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men for anal cancer. |
Abstract
In this presentation, Dr Anna Yeung and Jennifer Gillis from the Epidemiology of STI - Methods and Analysis for inTerventions and Evaluation (ESTIMATE) team in the Centre for Urban Health Solutions, St. Michael’s Hospital, will discuss their findings on HPV vaccination and anal cancer screening among gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men and men living with HIV in the Canadian context.
