Associate Professor Alex Swarbrick  

Associate Professor Alex Swarbrick
Principal Research Fellow, Garvan Institute

Alex Swarbrick is a Laboratory Head in the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, an Associate Professor of Medicine at UNSW Sydney, NHMRC Senior Research Fellow and co-head of the Breast Translational Oncology Program in the Kinghorn Cancer Center, Sydney. Alex completed his PhD at UNSW, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship with Nobel Laureate J. Michael Bishop at UCSF. Alex applies cellular genomics to find new treatment strategies for breast and prostate cancer.

 

Abstract

In this presentation, Alex will discuss the latest technologies in single cell and spatial analysis of tissues. He will demonstrate the application of these tools to the analysis of human cancer microenvironment.
