Kirby Institute researcher named Eureka Prize finalist

Sydney (2 August, 2013) - Associate Professor David Wilson has been named as a finalist for the 2013 3M Eureka Prize for Emerging Leader in Science. This prestigious prize is awarded to a scientist who has used their leadership skills to create impact inside their institution, amongst their peers, within their discipline or in the wider community.
 
Associate Professor Wilson is an established international leader in the evaluation of global HIV/AIDS epidemics. David and his team help Australian governments, governments of developing countries and international development agencies respond to HIV/AIDS epidemics, advising on strategies to minimize new infections and maximize access to lifesaving HIV treatment.
 
Winners of the 2013 Australian Museum Eureka Prizes will be announced at a gala awards dinner on Wednesday, 4 September at Sydney Town Hall.
