Kirby Institute post-doctoral research fellow Dr Bridget Haire appointed President of the AFAO

Congratulations to Kirby Institute post-doctoral research fellow Dr Bridget Haire who has been appointed President of the Australian Federation of Aids Organisations (AFAO).  The AFAO is the national federation for the HIV community response. They provide leadership, coordination and support to Australia's policy, advocacy and health promotion responses to HIV/AIDS. 

Bridget Haire is a lecturer in public health at UNSW Australia and has worked in HIV and sexual and reproductive health for 20 years as a journalist, editor, policy analyst and advocate. Bridget's research at the Kirby Institute includes ethical issues in infectious diseases control with an emphasis on underserved of marginalised populations and sexual and reproductive health.
