We would like to congratulate our colleague, Dr Muhammad Jamil, on being one of two recipients of the 2017 Dean of Medicine’s Award for Outstanding Contribution to Research by a Higher Degree Research Student. Dr Jamil works with the Kirby Institute’s Surveillance Evaluation and Research and Sexual Health Programs, and is currently completing his PhD with a focus on interventions to increase HIV testing uptake and frequency among gay and bisexual men. The Dean’s Awards are held each year to recognise the outstanding contribution of the faculty’s staff and students.
