Denton Callander is a Senior Research Fellow with the Kirby Institute’s Sexual Health Program and a Research Scientist with the Columbia University Spatial Epidemiology Lab. His work studies how diverse individual, social and environmental factors can influence health and well-being, with a special interest in emerging digital methods.

Teddy Cook is an Adjunct Lecturer with the Kirby Institute’s Sexual Health Program, Manager of Trans & Gender Diverse Health Equity with ACON and a Director of the Australian Professional Association for Trans Health. He is involved with a diverse array of policy, implementation, research and advocacy projects aimed at improving health and health care equity for trans and gender diverse people.
At the end of the last decade, scholars, advocates, clinicians and policy experts from around Australia came together to identify a program of sexual health research responsive to the needs of trans and gender diverse people. In this presentation, two of this program's architects will discuss the advancement of those efforts thus far and look towards what is needed over the next decade in terms of research, policy and planning to enhance the sexual health of Australia's trans and gender diverse communities.
