Global Reproductive Health Group

The Global Reproductive Health Group is committed to improving sexual and reproductive health in low- and middle-income countries (LMIC) in our region and globally. A key focus of our work is the participatory co-design, conduct and evaluation of novel solutions to improve the reproductive health of women and girls, and to control sexually transmitted and other priority infectious diseases. We are an interdisciplinary group grounded in the principles of community engagement, equitable partnerships, and improved access to health care for vulnerable and key populations.

We are leading world-first research on the diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted infections (STI) in pregnancy to improve maternal and perinatal health outcomes in LMIC; and in collaboration with partners in Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, and Australia, lead a landmark proof-of-concept cervical cancer elimination program in the Western Pacific.
