Shinta is a dual master degree student in International Public Health and Health Management. She conducts research within the Kirby Institute’s new Biosecurity Program supervised by Prof Raina MacIntyre. Her research is focused on developing risk analysis framework to predict severity of an infectious disease outbreak. She also provides support for EpiWATCH, a rapid analysis outbreak surveillance system, as well as providing research support for studies in epidemic intelligence. Ms Lesmanawati graduated with Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from UGM, Indonesia. In 2017, she started her Masters of International Public Health and Health Management (MIPH/MHM) at the University of New South Wales under the Australian Award Scholarship. Her research interest includes epidemiology, prevention and control of infectious diseases including immunization. She was also a private tutor for PHCM9498 Epidemiology & Statistics.
