Reem is a medical doctor and has a master of public health with a major in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. Reem had part of her public health and clinical training at Bloomberg School of public health-Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, USA and McGill University, Montreal, Canada respectively. Before coming to Australia, Reem has worked on various public health and clinical projects in the Middle East including most recently participating in developing national guidelines for the prophylaxis of venous thromboembolism in non-surgical patients in KSA. Reem broad research interests include clinical epidemiology, internal medicine and infectious diseases (Viral hepatitis in particular).
Qualifications: MD, MPH
