About your speaker

Charles Flexner, MD, is a recognised expert on the basic and clinical pharmacology of drugs for HIV, HCV, and related infections. He is currently the Co-PI of the Baltimore-Washington-India AIDS Clinical Trials Unit (BWI CTU), and is Director of the Long-Acting/Extended Release Antiretroviral Resource Program (LEAP; www.longactinghiv.org). He is the Past President of the American Federation for Medical Research, and has chaired the Pharmacology and Translational Research and Drug Development Committees of the AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG) of NIH.
