PhD, Postdoc at the Department of Digital Design, IT University of Copenhagen
Kristian Møller studies the intersection of media technology and mostly, gay sexuality and culture. He explores hook-up app and drug cultures, mobilising concepts of affect, intimacy, materialism, infrastructures, and assemblage. He is based at the IT University of Copenhagen, and currently a visiting scholar in the Chemical Practices research group.
In this talk, I will present data from my ongoing participant observation among gay, bisexual, and men who have sex with men who are using a video conferencing platform to engage in sociability, mostly around smoking crystal meth. I will consider its practices, social hierarchies and digital as well as chemical modulations of erotic pleasure and temporality.
