Abstract:
This session will provide an update on the key findings from the HIV Seroconversion Study. This critical piece of research has, for nearly 25 years, helped our sector better understand the factors that people recently diagnosed with HIV believe led to their infection, and their experiences since diagnosis. As well as providing a brief history of the study and some of the more recent findings, the session will also outline the proposed next stages for the study.

Bio:
Ian Down is an Associate Lecturer in the HIV Epidemiology and Prevention Program at The Kirby Institute. Ian has worked on a number of studies of gay men and sexual risk behaviour, and will soon submit his PhD, which draws on data from HIV Seroconversion Study.
